Before you choose

Choosing a Pre-Loved model

Choose a model that suits your display or project by comparing the stated faults, included parts and any work you would need to do.

Plan your display

Think about which flaws will be visible from your chosen viewing angle. Check whether damaged or missing wheels, undercarriage, stands or supports affect how you intend to display the model.

Understand the type of fault

A paint mark, a loose fitting and a crack can have different implications. Read the notes for the location and extent of each issue, and ask about anything unclear before choosing the example.

Common faults in diecast aircraft

Check essential parts

Decide which accessories matter to you, then compare them with the contents listed for that exact release. A missing optional piece may suit your plans; a missing stand adaptor or support could affect your intended display.

Check diecast aircraft completeness

Budget for restoration

If you plan to repair an item, check the availability and cost of suitable parts and materials first. Compare the total with a complete example and base your purchase on the condition described, without assuming every fault can be repaired.
