Hobby Master HA7605 1:48 Spitfire 541 Sqn RAF "The Last"

Condition

Spitfire PS915 joined 541 Squadron at RAF Benson in June 1945, shortly after Germany’s surrender. It later served with the Photo Reconnaissance Development Unit and then with 2 Squadron in Wunsdorf, Germany, flying strategic missions along the Iron Curtain. PS915 earned its place in history on April 1, 1954, by flying the RAF's final operational Spitfire sortie—a photographic mission over Johore, Malaysia, searching for Communist guerrilla camps.

To commemorate the occasion, the ground crew painted “The Last” on its engine cowling.
