Hobby Master 1:72 F-4J Phantom II "Death Angels" 1975 HA1919



Condition

VMF (AW-All Weather)-235 "Death Angels" were renamed VMFA-235 in September 1968 and equipped with the F-4J Phantom II. VMFA-235 flew the last active duty F-4 and aircraft 153879 was the last F-4 launched from a carrier. VMFA-235 pilots referred to their red-nosed aircraft as "Bozo-Noses".

 

In April 1980 153879 was upgraded to an S variant retiring in December 1983 while with VF-151. The aircraft went to storage and eventually was removed for restoration and destined for the San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum.

Mint (10/10)  
 - As new, no visible flaws.


Near Mint (9/10)  
- Very light signs of handling or display only.


Excellent (8/10)  
- Light wear or a few tiny marks; displays very well.


Very Good (7/10)  
- Noticeable wear or small chips/rubs but still presentable.


Good (6/10)  
- Obvious overall wear; better as a display/filler piece.


Fair (5/10)  
- Heavy wear or larger areas of paint loss.


Spares/Repairs (4/10 or below)  
- Significant damage or missing parts.
