Limited Edition
578 of 1800
Pieces Worldwide

Condition

In April 1938, 211 Squadron deployed to the Middle East, beginning operations in June 1940 against Italian forces in Libya. After aiding Greece in November, CO Sqn Ldr J. Gordon-Finlayson "The Bish" was forced to land Blenheim L8511 after damage in action—he and his crew survived, earning him the DFC. He resumed flying in L6670, surviving further missions, including a strike on Valona harbour. Braving harsh winter conditions and enemy fighters, “The Bish” was awarded the DSO in March 1941 and promoted to Wing Commander.
