This Consolidated B-24D Liberator represents USAAF 376th BG, 512th BS aircraft 42-72843 “Strawberry Bitch” from Benghazi, Libya during the Ploesti Raid of August 1943. Tied to one of the most famous low-level bombing missions of the war, it gives this Liberator a strong Mediterranean theatre identity and real historical weight.

 The model is complete and in overall excellent condition.

  • Minor wear is noted:

    • Rubbing marks are present on the underside, on the bomb bay doors.

    • Slight wear to the horizontal tail stabilizer, close to the vertical stabilizer.


Box condition - Good (6/10)

  • The box is in good condition for its age.

  • It exhibits general wear, including scratching.

  • Scratching is especially noticeable on the corners, face, and edges.

  • There is residue from price tags and stickers on the front.
