Condition

This 1:72 scale diecast model represents the Hawker Siddeley AV-8A Harrier flown by the USMC VMA-231 “Aces” squadron, known for the iconic “Ace of Spades” nose art. The Harrier, the first vertical take-off strike fighter, entered U.S. service as the AV-8A. The U.S. Marine Corps ordered 110 aircraft, including trainers, and adapted them for dogfighting using thrust-vectoring. VMA-231, the first USMC Harrier squadron, was formed in 1973 and flew aircraft such as BuNo 158390, featured in this model.

 

Diecast construction with authentic details. Model comes pre-assembled with accessories and ready to display.

Condition

The model is in good condition with the drawbacks being some paint bubbling on multiple surfaces, a mark to the side of the nose and some usage marks.

 

The box is in good condition but does have age related wear.
