Description
A visually striking and highly detailed 1:72 scale diecast representation of a Ukrainian Air Force Mikoyan MiG-29MU1 Fulcrum-C carrying an elaborate digital camouflage scheme. Released as part of the Hobby Master Air Power Series, HA6518 depicts aircraft “Yellow 57” during 2014.
The MiG-29MU1 programme was developed to modernise Ukraine's existing MiG-29 fleet. Improvements included upgraded navigation, communications and radar-related systems intended to extend the aircraft's service life and improve its operational effectiveness.
Yellow 57 received a major overhaul and was subsequently refinished in the Ukrainian Air Force's distinctive digital camouflage. The complex pattern combines white, light grey, dark grey and black areas across the wings, fuselage and twin tail surfaces, giving the aircraft a highly recognisable contemporary appearance.
The aircraft also carries blue and yellow Ukrainian national insignia, orange-bordered roundels and an individual trident emblem applied along the upper fuselage. These markings contrast sharply with the angular digital pattern and make this one of the most distinctive modern MiG-29 schemes.
Designed as a high-performance air-superiority fighter, the MiG-29 first flew in 1977. Its twin engines, widely spaced air intakes, high-mounted canopy and excellent manoeuvrability made it a formidable short-range fighter, while later upgrades expanded its navigation, weapons and multi-role capabilities.
This Hobby Master release features extensive diecast construction, a detailed cockpit beneath a clear canopy, removable external stores and accurately reproduced twin engine exhausts. - There is a small area of paint loss to the leading edge of one wing, along with slight paint wear to the side of the exhaust, visible as a silver line and highlighted by the red arrow.
- The model also has some general light handling marks, although none are considered significant.
- Comes complete. The stand is still sealed and has not been used.
Box condition - Very Good (7/10)
- The inner box shows wear to the underside, with a tear to the inside of the lid and a crease to the opposite corner.

- Heavy wear, larger areas of paint loss, repairs or clearly visible flaws.
Spares / Repairs (4/10 or below)
- Significant damage, missing attached parts, broken components or best suited for restoration/spares.
