Description
A tribute to a Medal of Honor recipient in the skies of Italy. This 1:48 scale diecast model by Hobby Master (HA8408) replicates the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt "Oh Johnnie" (#42-26785), flown by 1st Lt. Raymond Knight of the 346th Fighter Squadron, 350th Fighter Group, out of Pisa, Italy, in early 1945. This bubble-top airframe carries massive historical weight, representing the aircraft in which Lt. Knight performed a series of extraordinarily hazardous, low-level strafing missions against enemy airfields on April 24 and 25, 1945. His actions severely crippled retreating Axis air power, but tragically cost him his life on the final day when his heavily damaged fighter crashed, earning him a posthumous Medal of Honor.

- Heavy wear, larger areas of paint loss, repairs or clearly visible flaws.
Spares / Repairs (4/10 or below)
- Significant damage, missing attached parts, broken components or best suited for restoration/spares.
