Description
This North American P-51D Mustang represents USAAF 355th FG, 357th FS aircraft flown by John Elder from RAF Steeple Morden, England in 1945, complete with three figures. The added crew figures give this release extra display appeal, tying it closely to the personal and operational side of late-war Mustang service.
A standout addition to any WWII USAAF collection, especially for displays focused on ace-linked Mustangs and figure-enhanced presentation pieces. Ideal for display and for collectors who enjoy detailed scene-setting releases with strong unit identity.

Model Condition - Near Mint (9/10)
The model has not been on display and remains wrapped as it would have originally been sold. It has been graded as near mint due to a scratch on the left wing surface, as photographed, along with some manufacturing defects to the wing tips where further scratch marks are present.
We have handled many P-51 models in this scale, including undisplayed examples, and the silver paint finish commonly shows small defects.
Handling Note:
Please take care if removing the model from the packaging. The underside air vent hooks into a black plastic piece, so the model needs to be slid forwards and then lifted up to remove it safely. Please also take care around the propellers.
The polystyrene lid and base will be taped shut, as the P-51 polystyrene enclosures do not sit as cleanly as some other model variations.
Box condition - Mint (10/10)
The box is in mint condition for its age.
