Condition

This 1:72 scale diecast model represents the Heinkel He 111P-2 of Kampfgeschwader 55 “Greif,” stationed at Dreux, France in 1940. KG 55 was one of the Luftwaffe’s most active bomber wings in WWII, flying over 54,000 combat missions and logging 66,000 flight hours. The unit participated in key campaigns from the invasion of Poland through to operations over Britain and the Eastern Front. Fifty of its pilots were awarded the Knight’s Cross for bravery and effectiveness in combat.

 

This particular aircraft flew night bombing raids over Britain in the autumn of 1940. It features mottled night camouflage, a fin swastika, and Geschwaderstab markings on the nose. Despite later variants entering service, the P-series He 111 remained in frontline use throughout the early war period.

 

Diecast construction with authentic details. Model comes pre-assembled with accessories and ready to display.

The model is still sealed within the box and therefore, as new.

 

The box has some white speckles on the front artwork and minor wear but remains in excellent condition for its age.
