An early Lend-Lease pioneer tracking the genesis of British carrier-borne Corsairs. This highly detailed 1:72 scale diecast model by Corgi (AA33003) replicates an early-production Vought Corsair Mk I (5P) operating with the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm (RNFAA), No.1835 Naval Air Squadron. Based at Naval Air Station Brunswick, Maine, in late 1943, this squadron was among the pioneering British units formed and worked-up in North America following the implementation of the Lend-Lease Act.
