Description
A highly detailed 1:72 scale diecast recreation of Vought F4U-1D Corsair “White 530”, flown by First Lieutenant Merritt O. Chance of US Marine Corps VMF-312 “Day’s Knights” during the Okinawa campaign in 1945.
The F4U-1D combined the Corsair’s powerful radial engine and distinctive inverted gull wing with improved external stores capability. Fast, heavily armed and exceptionally rugged, it became an effective fighter and ground-attack aircraft across the Pacific.
VMF-312 operated from Kadena airfield after arriving on Okinawa in April 1945. The squadron flew fighter patrols and close-support missions during the bitter campaign, while also defending American forces against determined Japanese air attacks.
Limited to 2,400 pieces worldwide, Corgi AA33009 reproduces White 530 with authentic VMF-312 markings. Features include a detailed cockpit and pilot figure, interchangeable landing gear, removable external tanks, rotating propeller and presentation display stand.

- Light wear or a few tiny marks, but still displays very well.
Very Good (7/10)
- Noticeable wear, small chips or rubs, but still presentable as a display piece.
Good (6/10)
- Obvious overall wear, visible marks or paint loss; better suited as a display or filler piece.
Fair (5/10)
- Heavy wear, larger areas of paint loss, repairs or clearly visible flaws.
Spares / Repairs (4/10 or below)
- Significant damage, missing attached parts, broken components or best suited for restoration/spares.
If a separate accessory, stand, leaflet, certificate or optional part is missing, this will be mentioned in the listing notes. The model may still receive a high grade if the model itself remains in strong condition.
