Description

The Vought F4U Corsair became one of the most distinctive carrier fighters of WWII, known for its power, ruggedness and unmistakable gull wing. This model depicts a Corsair Mk.II of No. 1836 Squadron operating from HMS Victorious during operations around the Sakishima Islands in May 1945, as shown on the box label and artwork. Ideal for a late-war Fleet Air Arm display shelf, desk setup, or a Pacific carrier-deck diorama, and a great choice for collectors who enjoy naval aviation and WWII carrier aircraft.

The model is in excellent condition with only a small amount of paint loss to the underside of the fuselage (circled in red on the photos).
Accessories have been checked and comes complete (fuel tanks do have some grey marks on the sides).

Box condition - Excellent (8/10)

The box has some shelf wear but nothing major, has aged well and still looks clean.

- Noticeable wear, small chips or rubs, but still presentable as a display piece.

Good (6/10)
- Obvious overall wear, visible marks or paint loss; better suited as a display or filler piece.

Fair (5/10)
- Heavy wear, larger areas of paint loss, repairs or clearly visible flaws.

Spares / Repairs (4/10 or below)
- Significant damage, missing attached parts, broken components or best suited for restoration/spares.
