The Vought F4U Corsair became one of the most distinctive carrier fighters of WWII, known for its power, ruggedness and unmistakable gull wing. This model depicts a Corsair Mk.II of No. 1836 Squadron operating from HMS Victorious during operations around the Sakishima Islands in May 1945, as shown on the box label and artwork.
