Description

This Convair F-102A Delta Dagger represents USAF 509th FIS service at Da Nang AB, Vietnam in 1968. Finished in Southeast Asia camouflage, it captures the type in an operational theatre role that stood apart from its original interceptor mission, giving this Delta Dagger a distinctive Vietnam-era identity.

A strong addition to any Cold War or Vietnam War jet collection, especially for shelves focused on lesser-seen USAF delta-wing aircraft. Ideal for display and for collectors who enjoy operational schemes tied to specific bases and periods.

Model Condition - Spares/Repairs (4/10)

The closed missile bay accessory as well as the closed front and rear landing gear accessories are missing. Whilst the overall model is very good in condition otherwise, this has been listed as Spares/Repairs due to the number of missing accessories. Can still be displayed with landing gear down and the missile load deployed. See below for more information.

There is a small section of what looks to be residue from glue at the front section of the aircraft just in front of the frontal cockpit where the paint looks glossy – This looks to be from an overspill of glue as the pilot had been glued to the seat which has also left residue on it.
The tail pitot has broken off but has been rebagged for potential repair.
Some paint bubbling is present on the fuselage/forwards wings.
The plastic tray has got cracks on the blister push in points.

Box condition - Excellent (8/10)

The box is in excellent condition with only some shelf wear to the edges.
