Description
This North American P-51B Mustang represents USAAF 374th FS, 361st FG aircraft 42-106839 “Bald Eagle” flown by Robert Eckfeldt from RAF Bottisham, England in June 1944. With its named nose art and early Mustang canopy profile, it captures a distinctive Eighth Air Force escort fighter from a key stage of the air war over Europe.
A strong addition to any WWII USAAF collection, especially for displays focused on escort fighters and pilot-linked aircraft. Ideal for display and for collectors who enjoy named Mustangs with clear unit and period identity.

The model is considered near mint, with the only notable issue being a restuck antenna at the top of the fuselage. The item is complete.
Box condition - Very Good (7/10)
The box for GAUSA2001 displays a small rip to the side tab. The tray inside has noticeable yellowing on the plastic, as well as a crack running down one side. Despite these imperfections, the box remains in very good overall condition.
