Description
A substantial 1:72 scale diecast representation of Grumman Avenger Mk I JZ159, coded 2F, of No.852 Naval Air Squadron, Fleet Air Arm, aboard HMS Nabob in 1944. Corgi PR99415 recreates a British-operated version of one of the most capable carrier aircraft of the Second World War.
Originally developed as a torpedo bomber for the United States Navy, the Avenger combined a powerful engine, three-man crew and a large internal weapons bay. Its strength and versatility also made it valuable to the Fleet Air Arm for maritime strike and anti-submarine operations.
Released through Corgi’s Predators programme and limited to 3,110 pieces worldwide, this model is particularly suited to collections focused on Fleet Air Arm aviation, escort carriers and wartime naval aircraft.

Model Condition - Excellent (8/10)
- Minor scratch marks are present, as highlighted by the red arrows in the images.
- Some excess glue is visible around the pitot attachment at the wingtip. This appears likely to be from manufacture rather than a later repair, but has been disclosed for transparency.
- The model comes complete with its original accessories; the display stand remains taped to the underside of the plastic tray.
Box condition - Near Mint (9/10)
- A couple of scratches are present at the side of the front face.

- Noticeable wear, small chips or rubs, but still presentable as a display piece.
Good (6/10)
- Obvious overall wear, visible marks or paint loss; better suited as a display or filler piece.
Fair (5/10)
- Heavy wear, larger areas of paint loss, repairs or clearly visible flaws.
Spares / Repairs (4/10 or below)
- Significant damage, missing attached parts, broken components or best suited for restoration/spares.
