Description
Corgi PR99402 is a detailed 1:72 scale diecast representation of the Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat, finished as BuNo 70143 “Minsi III”, Commander David McCampbell, USS Essex, October 1944.
David McCampbell commanded Air Group 15 aboard USS Essex and became the US Navy’s leading fighter ace. On 24 October 1944 he and his wingman attacked a large Japanese formation, with McCampbell credited with nine victories in a single mission.
The Hellcat was designed as a powerful carrier fighter around the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine. Rugged, well armed and forgiving to fly, it became one of the decisive US Navy fighters of the Pacific War.

- A small line of paint loss is present along a panel line on the topside of one wing, together with minor paint bubbling across the wings.
- The model comes complete. Additional accessories are stored beneath the tray, including the forward landing gear and the separate cockpit antenna supplied for use with the alternative cockpit options.
Box Condition - Mint (10/10)

- Light wear or a few tiny marks, but still displays very well.
Very Good (7/10)
- Noticeable wear, small chips or rubs, but still presentable as a display piece.
Good (6/10)
- Obvious overall wear, visible marks or paint loss; better suited as a display or filler piece.
Fair (5/10)
- Heavy wear, larger areas of paint loss, repairs or clearly visible flaws.
Spares / Repairs (4/10 or below)
- Significant damage, missing attached parts, broken components or best suited for restoration/spares.
If a separate accessory, stand, leaflet, certificate or optional part is missing, this will be mentioned in the listing notes. The model may still receive a high grade if the model itself remains in strong condition.
