Description
The final victory of a Pacific Theatre Ace. This 1:72 scale diecast model by Corgi (US32213) recreates the North American P-51K Mustang "Mrs. Bonnie," flown by Lt. Col. William "Dinghy" Dunham, Deputy Commander of the USAAF 348th Fighter Group out of Ie Shima Island in August 1945. This aircraft was Dunham's mount when he secured his 16th and final aerial victory of the war, downing a Japanese Ki-84 over Kyushu on August 1, 1945. Part of the specialized Corgi Nose Art series, this highly collectible release features a beautiful bare-metal finish with distinctive Pacific theater stripes and includes a separate bonus diecast body panel showcasing the aircraft's pin-up nose art in large-scale detail.
