This 1:72 scale diecast model represents the North American P-51K Mustang “Mrs Bonnie,” flown by Lt. Col. “Dinghy” Dunham. He scored his 16th and final aerial victory in this aircraft by downing a Ki-84 over Kyushu on August 1, 1945, during the closing stages of WWII.
As part of Corgi’s Nose Art series, this model celebrates the tradition of customizing aircraft with distinctive artwork. Nose art served as a form of expression and morale for airmen during wartime, often featuring slogans, cartoons, or names of loved ones.
