The Handley Page Halifax was Britain’s second four-engined heavy bomber of WWII, following the Short Stirling, and became a mainstay of Bomber Command with over 6,000 built. Despite the dangers of night raids, only five Halifaxes completed 100 or more missions. One of them, B.III LV937 "Expensive Babe," entered service in March 1944 and achieved her 100th sortie on March 25, 1945. Operated by an international crew from Australia, New Zealand, and Britain, she symbolized both the resilience and unity of Allied air forces.
