Corgi Aviation AA35508 1:32 Hawker Hurricane Mk II Night Reaper

Preowned - Near Mint (9/10)
Limited Edition
600 of 1000
Pieces Worldwide

Description

The Corgi Aviation AA35508 Hawker Hurricane Mk II represents the famous “Night Reaper” flown with RAF No.1(F) Squadron by Karel Kuttelwascher from Tangmere, England, in 1942. Finished in 1:32 scale, this striking release captures one of the most distinctive Hurricane subjects of the war, complete with the black night intruder scheme and the markings associated with one of the RAF’s most effective night-fighting pilots.

Its larger scale and unusual finish make this diecast model ideal for collectors of RAF aircraft, WWII fighters, and standout display pieces with strong historical character. It works especially well as a centrepiece in a Battle of Britain or night operations collection, and is a great choice for collectors looking for something more distinctive than a standard day fighter scheme.

Condition

Model Condition - Near Mint (9/10)

The model has not been displayed but please note the following defects:

  • Does not quite qualify as mint due to visible wear affecting the paint on the side decals (light blue areas where they should be dark blue). The decal wear appears to have been caused during manufacturing, where the paint separated from the decals and adhered to the plastic and is visible.
  • There is also a manufacturing defect at the end of one wing, where the paint has flicked and built up at a single point.

Box condition - Excellent (8/10)

  • The box has 2 small perforations of the side but overall it is in excellent condition.

Please review all photos carefully for the exact condition of the item, as this forms part of the description.

Any notable flaws, missing parts, or storage wear can be recorded here for full buyer confidence.

Grading

Grading Criteria

Our grading is based mainly on the physical condition of the model itself, including paintwork, attached parts, repairs, visible wear and overall presentation. Box condition and missing separate accessories are noted separately where applicable.

Mint (10/10)
- As new, with no visible flaws to the model itself.

Near Mint (9/10)
- Very light signs of handling, storage or display only.

Excellent (8/10)
- Light wear or a few tiny marks, but still displays very well.

Very Good (7/10)
- Noticeable wear, small chips or rubs, but still presentable as a display piece.

Good (6/10)
- Obvious overall wear, visible marks or paint loss; better suited as a display or filler piece.

Fair (5/10)
- Heavy wear, larger areas of paint loss, repairs or clearly visible flaws.

Spares / Repairs (4/10 or below)
- Significant damage, missing attached parts, broken components or best suited for restoration/spares.

If a separate accessory, stand, leaflet, certificate or optional part is missing, this will be mentioned in the listing notes. The model may still receive a high grade if the model itself remains in strong condition.
