Description
A specialized "Mickey Ship" radar-equipped pathfinder of the 15th Air Force. This 1:72 scale diecast model depicts Consolidated B-24H Liberator #41-28832, assigned to the 756th Bombardment Squadron, 459th Bombardment Group, based at Giulia Field, Italy, in late 1944. Following severe flak damage to its nose during a mission, this aircraft was rebuilt with metal sheeting and converted into a radar-equipped lead ship, distinguished by its incredibly flamboyant yellow and red nose paint scheme designed to aid formation assembly.
This limited edition Aviation Archive release captures one of the most visually striking Liberators to serve in the Mediterranean Theater. It is an ideal addition for collectors of unique USAAF heavy bombers, particularly those interested in the specialized pathfinding aircraft that led the 15th Air Force over strategic targets in Southern Europe.

Model Condition - Near Mint (10/10)
- The model is new and has not been on display, with all accessories still sealed. However, there is paint bubbling, mainly on the fuselage. This appears to be a common appearance now with older models. Underside has been checked and is all fine.
Box condition - Mint (10/10)
- The inner box is in mint condition, though the sleeve has been re-glued on one side.
Photographed under studio lighting to highlight even the smallest imperfections. Buy with confidence, what you see is exactly what you get.
