Corgi Aviation AA32618 1:72 Lancaster B.Mk I Tallboy Raid

Preowned - Excellent (8/10)

Description

This Avro Lancaster B.Mk I represents RAF No.9 Squadron aircraft LM220 “Getting Younger Everyday” during the U-Boat Pens raid of January 1945. Linked to the use of the huge Tallboy bomb against hardened targets, it captures a late-war Lancaster in one of the RAF’s most specialised heavy bombing roles.

A standout addition to any WWII RAF bomber collection, especially for displays focused on No.9 Squadron and famous Tallboy operations. Ideal for display and for collectors who enjoy historically significant Lancaster subjects with real mission identity.

Condition

Model Condition - Excellent (8/10)

  • Upon inspection, it is evident that the model has not been displayed. Nevertheless, it has been handled, as indicated by the reattachment of one of the outside vertical stabiliser pitots. The accessories remain in their original factory condition, supporting the assessment that any damage present is attributable solely to handling. These particular points on the model are notably fragile and are easily displaced.
  • There is visible paint bubbling at the tip of the wing, as documented in the accompanying photograph. A thorough examination of the underside reveals that it remains in perfect condition, with no flaws detected.

Despite the minor defects noted, the model presents exceedingly well for display purposes. In light of these imperfections, it has been listed at a price below the original expectation.

Box condition - Good (6/10)

The box has noticeable wear to the edges a few perforations through the cardboard as shown in the images.

Photographed under studio lighting to highlight even the smallest imperfections. Buy with confidence, what you see is exactly what you get.
