This Hawker Hurricane Mk I represents RAF No.69 Squadron aircraft V7101 flown by George Burges from Luqa, Malta in 1941. Tied to the hard-fought defence of Malta, the scheme gives this Hurricane a strong Mediterranean theatre identity beyond the more familiar Battle of Britain subjects.
