Description
A detailed 1:72 scale diecast tribute to SEPECAT Jaguar GR.1A XZ356/EP “Mary Rose” of Royal Air Force No. 6 Squadron during Operation Granby in 1991. Corgi AA35414 recreates one of the RAF's distinctive Gulf War strike aircraft, complete with its desert finish, personalised nose artwork and operational markings.
The Anglo-French SEPECAT Jaguar was designed for low-level strike and tactical support missions. Its rugged construction, compact swept-wing layout and ability to operate from austere airfields made it a dependable RAF frontline aircraft for more than three decades.
During Operation Granby, the British contribution to the 1991 Gulf War, RAF Jaguars flew armed reconnaissance and ground-attack missions from Muharraq in Bahrain. XZ356 carried the individual code EP and the name “Mary Rose”, giving this combat veteran an especially recognisable identity among aviation collectors.
Released in the Corgi Aviation Archive Collector Series and limited to 1,200 pieces worldwide, the model features heavyweight diecast construction, a detailed cockpit with pilot figure, authentic No. 6 Squadron markings, finely rendered stores and positionable undercarriage. It is a strong display piece for collectors of RAF, Gulf War and modern military aircraft.
