Description
A highly detailed 1:72 scale diecast recreation of Vought Corsair IV KD345/130, operated by Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm No.1850 Naval Air Squadron aboard HMS Vengeance in August 1945. Corgi AA33006 represents one of the distinctive British Corsairs prepared for service with the British Pacific Fleet during the closing stages of the Second World War.
The Corsair combined a powerful radial engine with its unmistakable inverted gull wing, giving sufficient propeller clearance while retaining compact landing gear. Its speed, rugged construction and heavy machine-gun armament made it a formidable naval fighter and strike aircraft.
No.1850 Naval Air Squadron formed at Brunswick, Maine, in August 1944 with Corsair IV fighters. After travelling to Britain and completing carrier work-up aboard HMS Vengeance, the unit proceeded to the Far East. The carrier reached the operational area in August 1945, too late for the squadron to take an active part before hostilities ended.
Limited to 2,700 pieces worldwide, the model reproduces KD345 with its Royal Navy markings and deck code 130. Features include a detailed cockpit and pilot figure, interchangeable landing gear, removable external tanks, rotating propeller and presentation display stand.

Spares / Repairs (4/10 or below)
- Significant damage, missing attached parts, broken components or best suited for restoration/spares.
