Description
A classic and highly collectable 1:144 scale diecast representation of Bristol Britannia 102 G-ANBF in the early colours of Britannia Airways. Released as part of the Corgi Aviation Archive Collector Series, AA31501 celebrates the turboprop airliner which played a central role in the expansion of British package-holiday aviation.
Britannia Airways developed from Euravia and became one of Britain's most recognisable charter airlines. The company operated former BOAC Britannia 102 aircraft on holiday flights from the United Kingdom to destinations throughout the Mediterranean and Europe.
The model recreates G-ANBF in a restrained white and polished natural-metal finish with a blue fuselage cheatline, red Britannia Airways titles and the airline's early tail emblem. The relatively clean colour scheme highlights the long fuselage and broad straight wings of the Britannia.
The Bristol Britannia was designed to meet a BOAC requirement for a new medium-range civil transport. Powered by four Bristol Proteus turboprops, it offered significantly greater speed and passenger capacity than many earlier piston-engined airliners while retaining excellent long-range capability.
The original Series 100 aircraft incorporated the shorter Britannia fuselage and established the basic configuration later developed into the stretched Series 300. Despite suffering delays during its development, the aircraft became admired by passengers and crews for its quiet cruising characteristics.
Limited to only 1,800 pieces worldwide, this Corgi release features heavyweight diecast construction, permanently printed Britannia Airways markings and clear cockpit glazing. Further details include rotating propellers, removable landing gear and the original Corgi Aviation Archive presentation display stand.

Grading
Grading Criteria
Our grading is based mainly on the physical condition of the model itself, including paintwork, attached parts, repairs, visible wear and overall presentation. Box condition and missing separate accessories are noted separately where applicable.
Mint (10/10)
- As new, with no visible flaws to the model itself.
Near Mint (9/10)
- Very light signs of handling, storage or display only.
Excellent (8/10)
- Light wear or a few tiny marks, but still displays very well.
Very Good (7/10)
- Noticeable wear, small chips or rubs, but still presentable as a display piece.
Good (6/10)
- Obvious overall wear, visible marks or paint loss; better suited as a display or filler piece.
Fair (5/10)
- Heavy wear, larger areas of paint loss, repairs or clearly visible flaws.
Spares / Repairs (4/10 or below)
- Significant damage, missing attached parts, broken components or best suited for restoration/spares.
If a separate accessory, stand, leaflet, certificate or optional part is missing, this will be mentioned in the listing notes. The model may still receive a high grade if the model itself remains in strong condition.
