This 1:72 diecast model of Avro Vulcan B2 XH558 celebrates one of Britain’s most iconic Cold War aircraft. First flown in 1952, the Vulcan served as the backbone of the RAF’s strategic bomber force. XH558, the twelfth B2 produced, entered service in July 1960 with 230 Operational Conversion Unit and was soon based at RAF Waddington—home to most of its operational life. In 1973, it was converted to the B2 Maritime Radar Reconnaissance role, flying with No. 27 Squadron.

In 1982, it was further modified into the K2 air-to-air refuelling variant, before later being restored to standard B2 configuration. XH558 became the last Vulcan in RAF service, flying as a display aircraft from 1986 until its retirement in 1992 due to defence budget cuts. Restored once again, XH558 returned to the skies under the care of the Vulcan To The Sky Trust, thrilling crowds as a civilian-operated heritage aircraft.

This model comes prebuilt and includes display accessories and a stand, making it an essential addition for Cold War aircraft collectors and fans of British aviation history.
