Blake was a naval pilot serving alongside RAF aircrew during the Battle of Britain, when the squadron’s Spitfires helped defend British airspace against Luftwaffe raids.

This 1:48 diecast model brings a named-pilot Spitfire to a Battle of Britain collection. The familiar elliptical wings and RAF markings make it a natural companion to Hurricanes and contemporary German fighters, while its larger scale gives the cockpit and airframe details room to stand out on a display shelf.

Fact Sheet

Brand: Hobby Master

Series: Air Power Series

Model code: HA7812

Aircraft: Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IIa

Serial / Code: P7423 / QV-Y

Pilot: Sub-Lieutenant Arthur Blake

Unit: No. 19 Squadron RAF

Period: October 1940, Battle of Britain

Operator: Royal Air Force / United Kingdom

Role: Fighter

Scale: 1:48

Material: Diecast metal with plastic components

Dimensions

Approximate length: 7.5" / 19.1 cm

Approximate wingspan: 9.25" / 23.5 cm

Condition

Model condition - Good (6/10)

Wings: Paint wear is present on the topside.

Undercarriage: One underside landing-gear fixture is loose and removable because the plate above it lifts slightly.
