This 1:72 diecast model of the Junkers Ju 88A-1 captures the aircraft that became a central component of the Luftwaffe’s bombing campaign during the Battle of Britain. Although it had seen limited action earlier, it was during this pivotal air battle that the Ju 88A truly came into its own. Used in daylight raids targeting British radar installations, airfields, and ports, the Ju 88A-1 combined solid performance with surprising maneuverability for a twin-engine bomber.
However, despite its strengths, it lacked adequate armored protection and defensive weaponry—making it vulnerable to RAF fighters, especially as the battle intensified.
This model comes prebuilt and includes display accessories and a stand, perfect for collectors interested in Luftwaffe operations during the early air war over Europe.
